During last summer's art fair events, I received many requests for a travel jewelry organizing bag. I had such a blast creating a pattern that is both fun to make and also functional. I introduced this bag for my fall and holiday craft shows and it was a hit! If you're looking for a new way to carry your jewelry on a trip, this may be a fun solution.
Pattern Here: TRAVEL JEWELRY ORGANIZER POUCH
This pouch is created using quilting weight cotton fabric, packaged binding, fusible fleece and vinyl. Yes - vinyl. This material can be intimidating - but is is soooo easy to work with! I have tips in my last blog post on how to work with it here: SEWING WITH VINYL
In creating this bag, I wanted to make sure it could fold up easily and be able to fit in either a suitcase or a carry-on. The pouch is also divided into different sized sections with zippers and sewn dividers. I added fleece to help protect the jewelry from bumps and bangs during travel. Finally, the vinyl makes it easy to find what you want to wear.
One of my favorites things about this bag is choosing out buttons! I have had so much fun finding colorful and sometimes sparkly buttons for the closure.
I hope that you enjoy this new pattern! If you make it, please let me know! You can tag me on Instagram @eloominatedesigns and use the hashtag #traveljewelryorganizerpouch .
